For Families
Arranging care for someone you love is stressful enough. Here is exactly how the process works, start to finish.
The Process
How Care Begins, Step by Step
Nothing here is a commitment. Most families stop after step one to think it over, and that is completely normal.

Call (864) 326-5936 or send a request online. You do not need to have anything figured out first — a short conversation is enough to begin.
Tell us about your care needs
We ask about the situation, the person, the schedule, and the concerns. We listen more than we talk.
Initial consultation and assessment
We complete an initial consultation and assessment as applicable to the services requested, so the plan is based on real needs rather than assumptions.
Develop an individualized care plan
Together we outline what support is provided, when, and by whom — written down so everyone is working from the same understanding.
Match care needs with appropriate staff
We match based on the required skills and, wherever we can, on personality and preference. For nursing services, staff are appropriately licensed.
Begin services
Care starts on an agreed schedule. Early on we check in more often to confirm the fit is right.
Adjust care as needs change
Plans are reviewed and updated as circumstances change. More support, less support, different hours — the plan should follow the person.

What Helps Us Help You
None of this is required. If you have it, it makes the first conversation faster.
- Who the care is for, and their relationship to you
- What is happening right now — a fall, a discharge, growing needs, caregiver burnout
- What a typical day looks like, and where the hardest moments are
- The kind of schedule you think you need
- Whether a healthcare provider has recommended nursing care
- Any questions you want answered before you decide anything
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the type of service, the schedule requested, and staffing availability. Some situations can move quickly; others require more coordination, particularly for nursing services. We will give you a realistic answer rather than an optimistic one.
Care can be arranged for a few hours a week or for extended ongoing support, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends based on availability. Tell us the pattern you need and we will tell you honestly what we can staff.
The plan is developed with you, based on the consultation and assessment. It is meant to be a living document — it should be reviewed and adjusted whenever the person’s needs change.
We think introductions matter and we will work with you on how care begins. Tell us what would make you comfortable.
Tell us. Fit matters enormously in someone’s home, and a mismatch is not a failure — it is information. We would much rather adjust the match than have a family quietly endure it.
Non-medical caregivers assist with daily living and provide medication reminders only. Nursing services are provided by appropriately licensed nursing professionals under Private Duty Nursing, which is a separate service. We do not blur that line.
We will discuss payment options during your consultation. We do not promise insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare coverage on a website — what applies depends on the individual’s circumstances and on what has actually been confirmed for their situation.
